  We found the perfect location at HBR. Quick to the pool, lobby, beach, and parking. The room fit our full-grown family of 6 just right and had everything we needed for a great vacation week. If you are new to Princeville, this is a great spot. You can call the front desk for a ride to the beach and access to Hanalei, Queen's Bath, Hideaway, and the state park are all right there. There is also a grocery store 7 minutes away. We'll be back!
  
  One note: The rental unit only has air conditioning(we only used to sleep) on the bedroom side and that unit can only run for a few hours without getting quite loud. We rarely needed it.

  We found the property as well as the unit to be excellent. Great spot to explore the North shore. The unit is right next to the pool amenities, yet out of earshot - a great combination.

  We loved every second of our stay. Coffee on the balcony was a favorite. We enjoyed tennis and swimming on property and the beach is secluded with great snorkeling where we saw a giant sea turtle. Hope to return with our kids as the property is perfectly set up for families! Wish the pool was warmer and the pool bar had been open. The property is close to the parking lot, but we loved the location. Can’t beat the view!

  We have stayed at Hanalei Bay resort in the past and you just can't beat the beauty of the property, the location and views it offers. The happy talk lounge has been a nice addition but does congest the parking situation for a few hours at peak time. The beach equipment provided was nice to have although one beach chair is rusted and broken. We were a little disappointed in our unit for this stay. The furniture is quite dated and worn. Our first night the unit was loaded with dozens of flies-apparently from incomplete closure of the lanai doors after departure of the prior guest. We ended up buying a fly swatter and after dispatching them, had no further issues. Kitchen supplies were generally ok but with some flaws and omissions. Why not have some silicon or other non-scratch utensils to protect the single, semi-non stick ceramic pan? The coffee carafe was cracked (they did offer to replace on spot when we made them aware of it). Additional wall outlets would have been helpful in the kitchen area and in the unit in general. Outlets seemed over loaded with extensions so that charging phones, tablets etc usually required unplugging a lamp or something else to make room. The furniture in the unit was not arranged as depicted in the photos and so we had to move a love seat to another room to have a functional living space for our family to be together. In spite of those limitations, we would have no reservations about returning to this property which has been our favorite on our visits to the island of Kauai. It is picture post card beautiful and having the beach access on site is a tremendous bonus.

  We had a wonderful stay at Hanalei Bay Resort. Beautiful grounds the views were spectacular and the beach access was convenient.
  
  Can’t wait for the bar and restaurant to open as this would really add to the whole experience.
  
  Our unit was clean and in place upon arrival. There are several items that are dated and in need of repair which was being scheduled upon our departure.
  
  Jane and Kim with Na Pali went above and beyond before and during our stay to make our time there fantastic. We have been in the vacation rental industry for 12 years as owner operators and their hospitality and care was excellent. Can’t wait to come back and to work with them again.

  1207-1208. We had it from Jan 10-17, but had to leave early due to illness. The owner graciously offered to refund the unused nights! It was comfortable and beautifully furnished!

  We were celebrating our 40th anniversary and were looking for a clean, comfortable, well decorated condo with a view, good pool and beach. We found all of those things at Hanalei Bay Resort. Our unit was recently updated with a beautiful full kitchen, nice bathroom and comfortable furniture. Our view looked across towards the mountains, and though the pool was directly in our view, it is surrounded by so many lush plants that we couldn't hardly tell it was there. We had a small peak of the water and that was refreshing. Our deck had a table and four chairs and we ate outside regularly.
  
  Pros: location, fantastic views, incredible beach for snorkeling that you can walk to, large pool and jacuzzi, tennis courts, comfortable bed, full kitchen, golf cart shuttle to/from beach, live music played nightly, very friendly and helpful staff at front desk
  
  Cons: While our furniture was new, it was awkwardly arranged and wasted floor space; tv was extremely hard to use; there was construction on building next door that was very loud from 9-5 (given notice, we might have stayed in a unit further away); pool is large and beautiful but it was a very silly bottom that they made to replicate the ocean floor -- and instead it looks dirty and is rough on the feet. I didn't swim the first few days because it looked so dirty, so I used my snorkeling mask to check it out, and saw that it was clean, but just designed poorly. They really need to redo that!; ***WIFI is DANGEROUS -- it is unsecured, and while I complained and spoke to assistant manager, his explanation was ridiculous. Therefore all guests using their WIFI are not secure. I had to rack up money using up my personal phone data. There is no reason they shouldn't have a secured network on their property.
  
  I would definitely stay here again, but find out ahead of time if construction is happening while I'm planning on being there. I would also contact my phone company ahead of time and arrange for extra
